Sooo I’m trying to get most of my Ghoulia Yelps costume and Manya’s Abbey Bominable costume finished up this weekend. Depending on how that goes we may also cosplay Equius and Vriska, but I want to get Monster High finished up first so I don’t get overwhelmed. It’s been stupid tough trying to find a goddamn simple pattern for Manya’s Abbey Bominable dress. How is trying to find a sewing pattern in the right size just as bullshit as shopping for actual clothing????? GET IT TOGETHER, MCCALLS. ALL I WANT IS AN ABOVE THE KNEE STRAPLESS DRESS.

6th grade Sephiroth costume

I’ve been scanning old pictures so that I can eventually have an album on Facebook dedicated to old, possibly embarassing photos of myself and friends. I’ll be posting a few here to tide me over until I get a whole bunch scanned.

Personally, I’m not embarrased by any photo of me, even the ones like this where I’m dressed in a really shitty Sephiroth costume. This was taken during Halloween when I was in the 6th grade. The shoulder armor is made from milk jugs covered in fabric. And yes, that is a big cardboard sword. Also pictured is my friend Valerie from middle school, who is one of the most hilarious girls I’ve ever known, I haven’t seen her in a long time.

Also, I had totally forgotten what the living room at my old house looked like.
